Falling

Falling

You love him, said the voice in the wind
The tricksy voice that declares emotional states
Way before my mind is ready to accept them...
There’s no doubt, said the moonlight
Filtering down through trees of peace, on a night
Of kaleidoscope starry rendezvous...
Even though you fight it, said the red wine
Swirling in a glass like Lovers merging in a pool
While I debate the hopeful sin of happiness...
Trust this, said the scent of patchouli
Incense swirling through the gaps in my certainty
Prising open everything clenched and closed...
We are right, sing bells of midnight
Ringing in his sincerity, calling me to serve Trust
Way before my heart is ready to feel...
What it feels...

Walking into tomorrow, falling into tomorrow
Gratefully, hopefully
Open as a flower
Vulnerable as a child...
Falling...
