Falling star

Loved

Falling star

I was alone
I searched for love
High and low
I asked
But
They said Love was a star
There
But not
Here
So i built
A
Ladder
To climb to the top
I climbed
Wood splintered off
Slices, tearin
Tearin my flesh apart
The crimson Falling
I stretched
And strained
Reached out
Grabbed a star
Fire sluiced through my veins
Burning me till
It fell
Falling like my blood
Alone
I went home, broken
Alone
Empty
I searched for the star
I searched for years
Till I saw it
A girl, there for me
Yet I never looked
So i tell my children
When a star falls love is found
