Eleven years without you, without your love.

All my hopes, and dreams I am now void of.

You were the one that was supposed to understand my fears.

The one to be there to wipe away my tears.

You were supposed to love me with all your heart.

But all I remember are the days we were apart.

It’s too late to make amends, too late to say goodbye.

You said you would be back, but even that was a lie.

When I needed you most you were never around,

For birthdays, for Christmases you were never to be found.

But no matter what you have done and what was said,

As a child, to me you were so perfect in my head.
