Poem -

Father of Despair

I sat in the darkness, making no effort to move,

But he made me... he forced me to.

Broken.

I remember there was shattered glass upon the ground,

A result from the unleashed anger found.

Stretching so far to just peer at the sun,

I did not unearth the light but rather found that it has won.

So the darkness continued to crawl,

The screams built into a compacted fall.

Breakdown.

He’s done,

He says he’s tired of my sorrow.

I tried to stand and I tried to run,

But I fell miserably at the shot of a gun.

I thought, “There’s no use, I shall just stop and lay,

For I’m grateful to finally see God today.”
