FATHER'S PRIDE

At the age of five his father died 
Made a pledge to fill him with pride 
Worked hard at school and grades were met
The outside world beckoned he was set

Jobs followed jobs nothing was fulfilling 
Variety of work including oil drilling 
Then one day he decided to help the human race
Something to put a smile on his late father's face 

The pay wasn't good but he was satisfied 
Hoping that his father would be filled with pride 
Helping the needy and less fortunate than he 
I'm sure his father would be proud I'm sure you agree
