-The Fault

I stop right below open
caskets and embrace dead air.
Silence. Crippled and slowly
dying to get in. Its a probable
cause, death is of itself.
Water falls like an inevitable
side effect. It falls down
those inevitable slopes onto
blouse and tie. I notice
the universe in your cold hands
and pursed lips. for a moment
I take comfort in the fact that
the universe has to take
notice of its newest member.
I wave a hand over your nostrils
to make sure you made it there.
This was our tiny infinity's end,
such an unlikely event
blows moons out
of orbit and places the fault on the ill alignment
of stars. The logic of our forever had gone unnoticed,
though we prayed that the
universe would take note.
A youless me, sounds more and more like death,
though it is only a side effect of such. I think you would
find it poetic that a side effect
of death would be the such thing to lead me to
my very own.
Find stars to fill the void?
I'll curse stars to avenge you,
until my toxic cells lead me to where we'll create another infinity.
