Love says fuck you when it needs to,
cutting deeply so it can heal.
It will burn you to protect you,
thawing even the coldest stare.

Love becomes hate when you need it most to care.

It will tear out your heart,
if only to save you from yourself.
Masking intent like a virus, 
love will bait you to fight.

And apathy is it's host tonight...
