Fear

Fear of walking through the jungle of life,
While screaming in fear of pain,
Never escaping fear of shame,
Because you can never leave fear behind.

It told you, “not good enough”
You were told, “could be better”
It told you, “can't do it”
So why leave it all behind?

Letting fear go is hard,
Like cutting skin to see blood,
While knowing you can control it all,
But you are fearful to let go
