FEAR IS COMING
LET US PRAY.
Urban Chaos 2024
Parliament incased behind steel door
Check points on every street
Humanity forever to repeat.
Can we eradicate dangerous minds?
On those who wish to impead progress?
Darkness shrouds their heart
Hate inhaled from violent pastย
A friend to destruction and death
Born with no regret.
These tormented vessels carry war
Our Cities and Towns at peace no more
Blades pushed into lungs
lead between our eyes.
Fear is coming
Curfews to curtail attacks in vainย
For daylight they strikeย
And night taken.
Not a care for the innocentย
Nor the beauty of youth
We are the enemy.ย
A God is on their side
With Booming voice he lies.

I love the last two lines in particular Gerard because god is often used( in the wrong hands) to produce honest HARD WORKING
obedient people who only on their death beds realise...they were slaves to a system that stole their entire lives!!...i too feel the darkness over europe and fear the word dystopian but seems to me UK, in particular, is heading that way. Great write x

Powerful write on display here Gerard, dystopia meets Orwell's Big Brother.
And all hope is trampled and lost.
Never mind give them T.V - that opium for the masses.
And blindly submit to the ruling party and let darkness and its vile apparatus prevail.
