Feeling Love, Blindly

The next time you kiss, remember this
But First asking yourself, this question
Why Do My Eyes, Instinctively Close
At the moment, right before, our Lips meet
Then reopening again, after losing touch
Losing one sense, as my Eyes close
And another, Hearing but unable to hear
Anyone else but You
My sense of Touch, and Smell
Being Quantified in a way, in which
I can fully Feel You, Connect with You
As our lips Touch, beginning a Lightning Storm
Generating this Electricity
Our Bodies and Lips buzzing
The smell of your skin, your hair, and perfume
Mixed in with a soft wind, after a rain
Your hands around my head
Mine at your waist
All the stress, and disorder of the day
Vanishing, in the close proximity of You
Parting Lips, letting go, I begin to hear
The world around us, opening my eyes
Dulling my other senses once again
Your taste still Lingering, as I Lick my Lips
Realizing at this very moment, For One
To Truly Feel Love, One Must Become Blind To It
