Fidel Castro

He had a hairy handlebar moustache with a grey goatie beard
Both of which he kept neatly sheared
His name was Fidel Castro and he was a little bit weird
Well Fidel lived alone in a run down shack but it had a garden with a shed and his tools around the back
He whiled away the time putting wood in a sack
You see he was just like his late Father, a lumberjackÂ
He chopped down the trees from dusk til’ dawn
As the cockerel crowed in the early morn
Fidel would freshen his face and stretch and yawn
Then feed the chickens with a handful of corn
Such a stickler with his regular routine
Everyday was the same if you know what I meanÂ
And he never wore any other clothes but coloured green
Which were always too big and baggy coz he was like a runner bean

I could feel a sense of "admiration" of the character. All I really know about him is he was a communist. Good poem Jill. :)Â
