" THE FIELD MICE " ~ Love In The Garden ~

I love you Kate, said the field mouse at the gate
And rubbed noses with his mate
Then off into the night, he dreamed they would unite
And head into the garden's rite
Where love did bloom, for fancy mice rooms
Were made of dreams come true
The path of pumpkin seeds, led through the garden reeds
And the grassy simplicity.....
I love you Kate, said the field mouse at the gate
And recalled their very first date
They gave the human presents, to the oldest descendants
To display their loving sentiments
To all that could see, their intent was living happily
In the gardens rarity
For it was there that life was magical, and food so plentiful
And love was beautifully bountiful
And so skipping freely, through flowers with Mr. McNeeley
Kate did submit to touchy-feely
And to a life through the gate, where life was so great
And love was filled with flowers for ever....

Totally adorable, everything about this is so sweet,
i cried yesterday when that last of our five blind baby mice died,
they were so tiny and tried hard to survive without their mummy mouse,
you have a beautiful heart bro, love you heaps your sis nardine xoxo

Oh yes, clever and creative. I followed you on this brilliant and emotional write. Including animals, even rodents in the world we ALL live in, gives one hope that humans can be kind and love all living things...
By the way, I see you live in Chicago. You should go to my brother's restaurant. Let him know you're a friend and he'll take special care of you...

This is great, Tony. It reminds me of songs by mewithoutyou where an animal is personified and subtle words speak volumes. Nicely done...
