Poem -

fields of red flowers

Shadows fade within the crisp
Morning sun

The nightmare has just begun
So many casualties

Covering fields of red flowers
A sea of crimson

Layers of stillness
Once full of fight

Dying to survive
Lost in anguish

Covering fields of red flowers
A sea of crimson

A battle field of sorrow
Breathing not tomorrow

Layers of stillness
Once full of fight

So many casualties
A burial ground in site

A sea of crimson
Which once flowered blue

War and heartache
Nightmare across the floor

No more beautiful flowers
Only heartache in war.
