" FIGHTING FEAR "

There is nearly nothing, for which
We have a need to die for
Like seeing suffering in things
That run contrary to our Lord
Especially when we are commanded
To do what seems useless or absurd
And so it becomes quite difficult
To respond to that which is not "The Word"
And simply forget our own views
In these matters of truth
We must, rely on loving relationships
For Love does not require any proof
Shouldn't we just look
To the fruits of our own labors
And reap rewards ~ so to share them
With our neighbors
In exchange for sacrificing
Such minor choices
The universal will be done
When we raise our faithful voices
For it's there we will find
The subtle things that we all wish
And there, we will possess all goodness
Without fear of losing it
So, when I find that I'm in the throws
Of fighting my own fears
The only truth that I desire
Is to serve for many years
For there, our desires are satisfied
And filled to overflowing
And our relationship with God
Has granted us the gift of knowing.....
