The Final Dawn
A magnificent creation succumbed to a social evolution.
Beauty was betrayed for a world man made,
At the price of the land’s execution.
A peaceful paradise affected in a countdown to elimination.
Today I pray for a world in disarray,
Brought on by mental evacuation.
Lacking today in the world we made is any sense of benevolence.
An egocentric economy precedes ecology,
As we inevitably slip from existence.
This is the Final Dawn.
The saddest part:
We knew it was coming,
All along.
This is the last sunrise.
Today is the day the earth dies.
Battalions combat with hostility to assume the world’s command.
The sky today is a blanket of gray.
Long forgotten is the God who owns this land.
My ineffectual attempts of a rescue have left you a wonder to be missed.
The ramifications killed future generations.
Today is the day you cease to exist.
Global citizens act now but protection is not retroactive.
Too little too late, we have sealed our fate. Life is something that we cannot relive.
This is the Final Dawn.
The saddest part:
We knew it was coming,
All along.
This is the last sunrise.
Today is the day the earth dies.
The birds in the sky fly in the clear of blame for what this Earth became.
Unknowing in the ocean, floating to eternal rest,
I detest all of our actions which were incontrovertibly inhumane.
Here’s a warning from the future to all who live in the past:
While you wait, debate and hesitate,
Acting now could make it last.
Today is the day the earth dies.
We knew it was coming all along.
This is the last sunrise.
This is the Final Dawn.
