Fire

Red hot embers...smoulder,

Already dead...the hungry fire.

Memories of the past,

Linger fleetingly upon a breeze,

Cooling red hot coals,

To ashen lifeless grey.

Silent, passions heat...remains,

Seeking...scalding to the touch.

Dreaming once more...

Raging, flickering, passionately...

Etched upon a pitch black sky.

Rising higher unto heavens door,

Screaming, crying...for freedom lost,

Destroying, moving...always onwards,

Till spent upon a barren plain.

To be forgotten...

Rekindled spark...reborn again,

To hunger afresh...

Consummate between living...

Between...lifeless dead.

Upon a burning pyre,

Flesh eaten away by crazed flames,

Bones mixed in ashen dust,

Wet by single tear...

From eyes of innocence lost...

Now the dead cannot...return.
