The Firefly's Lamentation

like fluid, the thoughts combine beneath the surfaces of spoken words
linear, unending to the nerves of the rain within the hearts of men
like the mountain wind
and the tides of unwarranted blood we spill
in the names of our fathers
and the dogmas they upheld
the earth will relieve itself of our unrelenting haemorrhageing

your eyes turned a defeated shade of grey
at our loss of innocent admiration

the tempest roars a question to all the earth

when will you be at peace?

You and I, Wolf, are of one mind here. Your kind words keep the fires burning, my friend. Stay awesome. :)
