FIRESIDE DREAMS

Come in from the cold
My loves
Let mam warm frozen
Paws and toes
Sit with me in fireside dreams
of thens,
For mother knows,
How cold it gets at midnight
How lonesome feels the earth
Come in my loves and sit awhile
By firelit days of old
Come in from the cold
My loves,
Let mam warm frozen bones
Sit awhile and dream with me
For mother, mother knows...
How cold it gets at midnight
How lonesome bites the earth
So come my loves and,
Dream me far
Away from death's long birth

This is STUNNINGLY beautiful in its subtle phrasing that repeats in the mind like a song from the heart of a mother's love....it cuddles and delights in its warmth and repetition......moving so gracefully that the imagery created soothes the soul!!......PINNED for perfection!!....this piece actually brought tears to my eyes......extraordinarily moving my friend!!......Wow!!.......LOVE & ROCKETS!!.....your friend and ever-admirer.......Tony : )
Aw Tony thanks so much for your deeply generous comment my friend...x
Wonderful poem always
just love this poem
Thankyou lovely friend X
there is indeed more than just a little something about these words, stacked as they are .. like a four storied tower-block that makes them special .. whether it is the narrative heard in the voice of my own dear ma .. or the way key words are repeated as if to hammer home the urgency and desperate plea matters not .. at the end of the day, I am glad I found them just now .. on a bright early autumn morning over my porridge and hot mug of comforting tea ............................. I hope you catch my drift Marion and truly .. Neville x
I do...and thankyou x
