FIRST DAY ON THE JOB

I guess it's just like starting school again 
In the company of unknown women and men
Today is my first day in my brand new role 
Trying to make a good impression is my goal

I smile to my boss and he smiles back
Note to self don't give him any flack 
Train for the job for maybe a week or so
Hopefully by then my nerves will go

My new colleagues are there to support 
Note to self don't cut them short 
I just hope I enjoy my job working here 
Being the newbie fills me with so much fear
