First Flakes

First Flakes

First Flakes

Yesterday came
With winters first flakes
Just a light dusting
No snowballs to make

Out my window
Like a snowglobe
Soaring snowflakes
Dance all alone

Yesterday came
Blowing first snow
Nothing too heavy
Just a light throw

Out my window
Through mornings night
Seeing first flakes
Was such a delight
