First Love

When I thought of you,
I used to see your face.
Smiling and warm,
Your head thrown back
mid-laugh.
And I would fly.
Now you are far
away.
Farther than
before.
And though I don't think of
you
As much,
when I do
I just think of your
eyes,
And how they would
glow
with the music
and sparkle with the reflection,
of the sun.
And when I used to dream of you,
I would hear the sound
of your music.
But it's been a while
since you were in my dreams,
until last night.
I don't know what about it
was about you,
All I saw was a solid
warm green,
like your eyes.
And bold black swirls
being painted by an invisible brush,
Like the sound of your voice,
the late June breeze.
and all I heard was Vivaldi's
Spring.
But when I woke up,
I thought of you.

Eleanor this was beautiful. Simple words of your heart and thoughts, emotion and love spoken out loud, A moment in time once, and how you still think of that person. I loved it. For me poetry is about how it moves you and this did. A vote and nom from me:)
Good write, Thanks for sharing the below lines,
