From within
the midst
of this persistent storm
it seems
the relentless rain
will drown us all
and it will
if we let the tide
of rising adversity
immerse our resolve
Sometimes survival
is just a matter
of treading water
til the sun returns
to evaporate
our troubles awayÂ
