flotsam over dry land

we are but flotsam strewn across dry land. 
settling here and settling there,
putting up houses,
our vessels,
everywhere.
at some point in your families life,
two of you,
floated like flotsam but on a seaworthey vessel,
across from far and beyond. 
from that land,
flotsam spread like a wildfire tide over dry land,
settled there and now to here.
the flotsams' path is never ending,
over lands once untouched by anything but natures own.
we as flotsam are choking this planet,
taking away all of the beautiful nature that's on it,
sucking it's life from within it.
we need to not be flotsam,
we need change,
we all need to learn natures way.
that  the only way the tag of flotsam can be removed,
by living with nature,
starting at its roots...
protect the earth,
don't litter more,
use what's already there,
not tearing from nature that's yet to mature.
live it,
feel it and embrace it,
just please don't hurt this beautiful planet anymore.
