Followed Directions

Followed Directions

Behind thee; a glistening white tree!
As thou gaze over the gulf of misery.
Yonder; a great and spacious building,
With pointing finger and no one yielding!

A mighty castle! without foundation.
Broad path leading to its invitation.
Many elite do claim it as their own,
Filled with the selfish; of egos grown!

In the lonely mists of darkness below,
Carried away in the depths of Satan's flow!
So many lost! walking a forbidden path,
Forever wandering in regretful wrath!

Thou followed directions of scripture told,
Found thy way back to; The Shepherd's fold.
