" FOOLISH PRIDE "

Could we, with our foolish pride
Let loose and create,
The energy behind
The moonbeams influence
Upon the tides,
That place where
The world's figure, is fine
Striving to make
Our third eye, and freedom agree
On that in front of our eyes
And that which our teacher
Did teach
In Latin classrooms
Sweet wisdom,
Huge lessons on pride
And those riches with wings
That never collide
With truth in its elegy supplied,
Where death
And its humble consideration
Is freeze-dried,
Saved, for that moment of weakness
Where we ~ as human beings
Stumble through times
Of that most shameful target
That red Bulls-eye
Wherein, that shining brief moment
Somehow, coincides
With man's
Foolish pride......
