" FOOTBALL"
It's hard to explain to someone who's never been in a professional football huddle
The magic that goes on between men who's camaraderie leaves even them befuddled
When you rely on the man next to you, to be sure no one get's hurt
It's like going into "Neverland", every fiber in your being becomes alert
Your adrenalin is pumping on high, your focus is increased ten-fold
All 10 men around you, have a singular heartbeat, a common goal
That's not played out over years, but in rehearsed, strategic moments
It's like nothing I've ever known, men never share this kind of closeness
When a team-mate makes a mistake, there's no hatred, just a "Shake it off!"
And we all get up and do it again, in this game there is no sloth
It's a magical ballet, 11 men in harmony, and flawless execution
Like a show on 'ol Broadway, they've practiced every single movement
But when the games begun, and everything's on the line
It's the improvisation, that takes you across the goal-line
And when the day is done, whether it's lose or win
In the locker room you've got friends you can rely on
You "shake it off" and you do it again....

Your Football is a bit like our Rugby at least I think it is! the same shaped ball!! I am a big Football fan and I follow the LIVERPOOL team, my Andrew was a big fan also and had his ashes spread on Liverpools Anfield pitch which was a very special day for all of us, they were spread there on his birthday the year he died. I just absolutely love the really big games. I suppose both games are very different for each of our countries but the comaraderie will be the same and the love of the fans will be exactly the same. I`d love to have seen you in your football kit though! I`ll bet you looked gorgeous sweety!!! Did you watch any of the olympics when they were on? I watched the whole thing as I love sport in general and enjoyed all of it. I`ve never been to an actual football match as I don`t much like being in amongst the crowds but I always watch the games on the tv and get very carried away with the whole thing. Geoff played Rugby at school but he doesn`t watch sport or football anymore, it`s always me making all the noise in my house. This was a very different write but a very enjoyable one at that. I love you sweety. G xx
