Poem -

For our children

I wake up in the morning and I've got a job to do, it doesn't pay a lot of money, but I'm doing it all for you.

And as long as that's the case I'll do my job with haste, even though the work I do only meets the minimum wage.

It pays for things like food and the clothes you get to choose and as long as that's the case then I'm never gonna lose.

And when your old and wise I can look you in the eyes and say I did all for you and now you are my prize.

I got to see you flourish, I got to see you grow and I will always love you more than you will ever know.
