Mama,

Since the day that I could realize who you were,
And who you were to me,
I have loved you so much.
I cannot imagine my life without you.
You feel so right.
You have always felt right.
You’re the piece of my life,
That’s never been missing.
You were the needed piece,
For me to become who I am today.
Mama, I really love you.
And I don’t tell you very often.
Maybe that’s because,
It makes me feel vulnerable.
And it’s hard for me,
To be vulnerable in front of you.
Because I don’t want you,
To see me emotional or hurt.
I know you’ve been through some rough times,
And I don’t want to give you the burden,
Of seeing me going through the same.
What I learned from you,
Is that struggles in life don’t define who you are.
And struggles don’t maintain your life.
Every day when I look at you,
I see the beautiful woman,
That you are.
And I believe that your struggles,
Didn’t weaken you.
No, they made you stronger.
And I’m proud of you.
I’m going to make you proud.
Mama, I admire you.

And I think you’re beautiful.
