Forever Paused

Forever Paused

I'm calling for the sea, but I'm too far along the shore.
Always looking around for something so much more.
Calling for music,
Looking for movement.
And I'm praying for you,
Yet you're someone I only once knew.
Then something takes me to a far away place.
Waves, reaching for a truth not so hard to face.
Reaching, then forgetting to reach.
Then remembering, tickling my toes, licking my feet.
Then I remember, you're someone I knew!
Birds flying away, beautiful, just like you.
A painted perfect sunset, paused.
And I let go of all the regret you caused.
Just you and me,
Nothing more, together, we've paid the final fee.
And then I stopped winning the wrong race,
As never became forever as it stopped in it's place.
The waves hardly reached,
Hardly forgot to reach,
And then they never reached, ever again.

Wow Brianna!!............this is a VERY compelling write ...........some excellent phrasing here......you've obviously written before because you have a very strong sense of rhythm and timing......"A painted perfect sunset, paused" (great alliteration)..............well done...........and in case no one has said it .........."Welcome to COSMO!! "...............smiles.............T xo
