" FOREVER WAR "
As the blood rolls red, through my anticipation
I can feel the strength of will, and dire contemplation
Fighting for the dangling threads, of my Forever War
Where those threads are woven, into the fear of forevermore...
Such occasions are aids in keeping us, humbly aware
And shields us from the incessant rumblings, of pride's political affairs
I kneel next to my bed, and beg for a quiet miracle
My logic then takes me back, through the crystalline and the pivotal
The realization that there awaits, no angelic intervention
Where the road ahead is dark, and littered with apprehension...
For the battle within one's soul
Has me on my knees, begging for a little more
When, through meditation
I realize,
There's no winning
The Forever War...

The amount of Zen philosophy emanating from this piece is incredible, Tony. It has forever been a major struggle for human beings to allow themselves the deep state of acceptance which in turn allows them to transcend the axis of energies and its subsequent push and pull of the spirit. I really love how you express your most intricate thoughts and emotions here, a most eloquent write indeed. :)
