Forget-me-not

Forget me not Oh pretty flower
for I shall not forsake you
betwixt your blanket of delicate petals 
a sweet subtle powder blue

As you grow in abundance
amongst the meandering meadow grass
You put on such a spectacle
Likened to a painted picture of stained blue glass

Millions of brilliant blue heads with minute yellow center dots
Such beautiful woodland adornments are the forget-me-nots

Whilst you symbolize faithful love & momentous memories 
Your true blue colours make a wealth of woodland treasuries 

As I wander through the woodland at the dusk of the day
An aromatic perfume is lovely
beckoning me to stay

The fresh, scented smell of forget-me-nots fill the evening air
I am always captured by the bright blue colours so soak-up this precious moment with a fixating stare
