Forgive Me My son

FORGIVE ME MY SON
Anuradha Balachandran
Forgive me my son
I spared no time for you
Do forget those deeds
I vent my anger on.
Had I a little patience
To dwell deep into you
I won’t have missed
The soft side inside you
Today I lay broken, hurt.
Held you my hand to raise me.
Confessed I of my wrong
Praised you my efforts all along.
Young you are to understand my task.
Yet you knew clearly my load.
Supported me all along
Knew I not your greatness.
Years and years traversed along;
Maturity I trusted to realize.
Veils I wore inappropriate,
Unleashed you my inner self.
Bare and naked soul I offer,
Son you grew more than me.
Realized I, the pains I gave.
Accepted all your love and care.
Can’t I undo what I did?
Give me more time dear,
Let me cajole and pamper you,
Let me feed and cuddle you.
Lost times are never regained.
Undone act of the past never done.
Life anew is what I propose,
To care love and coax.

Greetings Anuradha,
A very beautifully written poem, by a mother to her son and i am sure, he knew, there were existing obstacles, that allowed you not, to be the complete parent, we all wish to be or have been in life, to our loved ones and sometimes it takes the future, to allow us to make amends to the past, through the endeavors of our present at hand. And for he, (i am sure), for give your shortcomings, just as you have forgiven him for his, throughout his entire life..(Let he who without sin cast forward, the first stone)..You could not have displayed your love no stronger than what you have here, in your lovely poem, to the world, in its entirety, to view...A job well done indeed...And i am sure if he knew of this poem,he to would be humbly pleased....
Kindest regards,
Jim Â
