Forty Three Years Displeasure?

In the blink of my childhood eye
Forty three years has passed me by
School days I played without a thought
How my life would pan out after I was taught
Endlessly, carelessly soldiering on
Little did I realise, I was not to know
Attending the classes till my work was done
How speedily my bygone days would go
Reminiscing from my days at school
I wished my life to go fast
How slowly & tiresome it seemed so cruel
Now those days of learning are past
Gone are the days when time lapsed so slow
My school days are but a treasure
Sepia photographs with faces I know
Forty three years is displeasure

Hello Jill...
No joke!
School years seemed to go much slower...
Decades sure fly as we get older...
I remember when I thought how long it would take me to be 70...
I was very deceived as a kid...
Not even 20 years already and I will be there if all goes well...
Geez I remember when it was 7 Decades and it doesn't really feel that long ago...
Time it's a strange thing...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs...
