Four Walls

These four walls that surround me,
Once a home but now a cage,
The voices say to flee,
But I can't control the rage,
A rage that kills,
A rage that maims,
The rage that oddly chills,
And the rage that always blames,
I want to protect myself,
Yet I'm not the one in danger,
I look at the hand I've dealt,
And suddenly I'm the stranger,
I feel the weight on my shoulders,
The devil on the left killed the angel on the right,
I feel the raw mischief that smolders,
From that demons conscious might,
These four walls that surround me,
All crumbling to the ground,
The  rage now lets me be,
Thought constantly leaves me down,
All that is left is sadness,
Sadness and my regret,
This rage that left me breathless,
Is the rage I can't forget...
