The last time I saw her we chatted she smiled
She was not feeling well so I stayed just a while
Father told me to tell her “it won’t be long”
I knew He would take her for to Him she belonged
She had been tried and tested and tested and tried
Put on a brave face till the day she died
She will always live on deep down in our heart
Because we know that she has not travelled far
She has just entered in though that beautiful door
Where Jesus stands for those He’s waiting for
To gather them in where they rest for all time
He calls “come to me all those who are mine”
She is no longer in pain now she can rest
In the arms of the one she loves best.
