Poem -

Free

You have been freed.
Out of my clasping fingers, you have flown.
I ask nothing more of you
Your wings can spread and fly in an endless sky
Though you don't know where you are headed, you are free.
One too many times I had let you taste freedom, and then dragged you back into your prison.
But no more.
Many sights you will see, many people you will meet, many good times you will have now that you are not held back.
Though the caged bird sings, the free bird soars.
Love that is constricted is not love at all.
But still, in time if you decide to come back
The cage waits open in a little corner of the world.
But now that cage is bigger.
It is beautiful.
It is not longer a prison cell, but a place where life and love can thrive.
My heart, you have been freed, but one day, you'll come back for more.
But until then
Be happy.

BLOSSOM

A beautifully written piece Chrissy!!  Some truly lovely lines in there, particularly liked:

Though the caged bird sings, the free bird soars.
Love that is constricted is not love at all.

Great job :)
