Free Love Melt Down

A Toast to Weed and Satellites

Free Love Melt Down

"Bravo and Good Job" do not expect to hear

Angels report great chaos and it's burning in my ear

I gave you the flowers freely

But you decided to hunt to extinction for the antlers of my deer

I gave you my air freely

But you decided to plant more tabacco and weed and satellites

I gave you my soil freely

But you decided to use petrochem to build your small dominions

I gave you my water freely

But you decided to cut down the trees and churn out pulp

I gave you my planets freely

But you decided to kill the whales and burn up coal

I gave you my son freely

But still you set up graven images that enslave

And even now the richness of diverse languages you threaten to erase

And torment and poverty and hopelessness continue to cry out

From those I love so dear

To these heights

Through vain opinions

Gaia's gulp for every soul

Within the grave

Through this haze

And I'm forced to intervene with harshness

As we reset the messed up maze

Hey AL,
I agree with Cleo....you've definitely brought the dark side of man's doings to the forefront here.....all the ugliness we've done to Mother Earth...and done it with some amazing phrasing ~
