Friendship Faded

Friendship Faded

There must be a way to skip your beat, to block your view, to blank your smile,
I'll leave your walls and rebuild mine ...distance x time might take a while

and in the same space, i fail to replace the pent up enigma that resides behind your face

a push and pull to no satisfaction
a lust, that anticipates reaction
a syncopated interaction
shall begin and end with our mistakes

my voice, your voice, through thought defracted
from selfish quests i stand distracted
and in my mind i've re enacted
how one or both these hearts shall break
