FROM CRADLE TO GRAVE

This is my story from cradle to grave
My peers thought me extremely brave
For at eighteen I enlisted to fight
To serve my country day and night

I survived the war I'm happy to say
That's where the bravery came into play
I found a job but it didn't pay too well
Far better I know than that fighting hell

I fell in love got married and settled down
Bought a nice house in the best part of town
Two boys born made us a family of four
Nothing could beat that I know for sure

Time moves on and it waits for no man
Death is all part of God's master plan
I died knowing that I always did my best
Feeling contended and most truly blessed
