~ From Such Is Poetry ~

{to taste of life}

How delicious it would be
To taste of life, completely
To sweep into a patch of grass
Moves me warm, and ever-lasts

Comes a time, souls swim green
Takes of time, soft and sultry
As cotton wind on feathered feelings
Soaking up, buttercups, and just thinking

An inkling of what may brightly bloom
Ginger berries, manifesting mushrooms
Frolicking Fairies growing golden wings
Their softness, subtle, through quiet sings

Comes a time, when the world so still
Echoes nothing, but dreams fulfilled
Becomes a garden of dancing lights
Birthing beauty, and creative heights

From such is poetry and artistry born
And all the world, with color adorned
Oh, how delicious, it would be
To taste of life, completely...

The sentiments in this poem are wonderful. Life has so much to offer us that it seems impossible to sample everything in this world however I sense that your poem speaks of a much more spiritual and deep "taste of life" such as a sunny afternoon spent lying in fields of flowers which dance with the wind. Giving yourself completely to such a beautiful moment and feeling the blissfulness that comes with simplicity.
Truly loved this piece, well done Tony. Thank you for sharing this piece, it has made my day brighter and given me hope for the return of such blissful moments.

I understand what you mean Tony :) writers have a soul that only other writers/artists can understand.
My theory on that is that most people allow their bodies to control them in life, they cage their souls until their souls stop fighting to be set free. While writers/artists allow their soul to rule their lives which is why when rain falls on our skin we don't run for shelter, we feel the love and beauty of Mother Nature as she replenishes the Earth. -looks who's babbling now, you awaken my soul with your words Tony-

Tony I have a lot of catching up to do on your poems, for this is the first, the first of many and I'm glad I journey onwards from this poem good sir.
What can I say but a poem that washes over a reader delivering wondrous imagery to absorb and breathe in.
A poetry delight from beginning to end for one and all.
