Funny Mob, Loving God

The kookaburras chuckled at midnight
They were tickled as I fell asleep

Cause they knew Eagle King had a gift for me,
a secret they struggled to keep

And so my eyes left the moonlight
and drifted out past the stars

And my ears soared high above the sound of those silly old galahs

In another universe I was greeted
by my King who gave the call

And he shared the answer to my prayer,
"You are loved. That is all."

I became as airy as a feather
and slowly floated back down

To find myself laying in my bed,
wearing a prince's crown

And at four a.m. I heard them too,
those laughing sacks of hooligan

They are my kin, the funniest of friends
They knew I was getting blessed again
