Future Island
In the middle of the questioning lake
Where the future is a tiny island
Floating as if unattached
The uncertainty, so becomingly unaware
That the future is never
Content
To just float, in and out
Of else where's enthusiasm
For life's endless parade of ambitions
Is where the water laps upon the shores
Of self-loathing's potential
For floating aimlessly
On the lake of life's possible outcomes
And appears acceptable
That being unattached
In living without foundation
And building a fiery future
Filled
With happy disappointments
Is where there languishes
One's future
Self respect
----------------------------------------
It is here
We find the offer
Filled
With only
Disappointment
And an aimless
Future floating island
Of worldly
Participation
And perceptions...

can be lonely at times, It reminded me of the quote
"No man is an island" and the meaning humans do not thrive
when isolated from others
I maybe way off course lol
