Gambling is a sin

Gambling is a sin

She sat on the stairway
of her stately hall as they collected all her possessions from her rise and fall
She used to be so wealthy, rich beyond her wildest dreams but now she was penniless, her world was falling at the seams
Gone was the grandeur with her graceful clothes when she sold them at a pawn shop, she didn’t get much for those

Nobody guessed how this had happened tho in her heart she knew so well she lost lock, stock and barrel with nothing left to sell
Yet her gambling gave her pleasure even tho she lost her man but then again he could never satisfy her mood, not like the Poker could
And yes she was very good at it whilst her luck was in but an addict cannot help themselves, gambling is a sin

So she sits in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs, goodness knows where she will sleep tonight with her troubles and her cares
Coz her so called friends and family gave up long ago and of course she only had herself to blame for putting on a show
Lady luck had ran out on her and tho she couldn’t change her past, but what with all her millions made her memories were a blast !!
