Garage Nap

All my fears are now confirmed,

That is, as far as you’re concerned.

Thought that you had faith in me;

Your pride was false entirely.

Can’t believe the excuses you’ve made

For the little one that stayed

- not so little now!

I’ve returned, but where’s the crowd?

Perhaps I am selfish – blind –

No excuse not to be kind!

You said I need to grow up,

You think I’m stuck inside a rut.

You’re wrong, I know who I am:

I’ll succeed my own way, yes I can.

You don’t know what it is your saying

For your weakness I’ll be praying.

You made me want to go so sleep

In your garage where the fumes could seep

Into my brain and take me away

- I want you to suffer, to make you pay.

If only you knew what you’ve done to my hope

- what I’m going through just to cope.

Now you really know the truth

Of how utterly ashamed I am of you.
