" GENIUS DIVIDED "
I could rehearse, if only I dared
Convey the brushstrokes of nature's paint
With Dali's intent, a canvas most rare
A schizophrenic, artistic, complaint
One of brightest day, morosely conveyed

Inside of myself, with a raging mind
The happiness so sad is set apart
A phantom loss, the snake reminds
But my pen can't recall, words from the heart
ThoseΒ of brightest day, locked away in the dark

I could rehearse, if I could but only remember
To match the candle with the colorful sun
But my mind's medication distorts the clever
Where my master Insists, the bell be rung
And sudden inspiration manifests as a song
A song of 'Genius Divided'
That's already been sung....
