GET BETTER SOON DEAR WORLD OF MINE

Tensions high on the American streets tonight 
A country in turmoil looking for a fight 
Bloodshed will be spilled I have no doubt 
Just another thing the world has to worry about 

Schools reopen in the UK tomorrow morning 
Much too early the scientists are warning 
Is the UK coming out of lockdown far too soon ?
Time will tell as we start the beginning of June

So much distressing news in our world today 
The River Nile is slowly disintegrating away 
Waste and plastic are thrown in this precious river
Enough to give me anxiety and to shiver 

I wish I could give some good news but I cannot
The world at the moment is in a tight spot
I will go to bed now and constantly shake my head 
Hoping that things improve it has to be said
