GETTING PAST THE COVER OF AN OPEN BOOK

When you read my story,
You only see words.
I picture mine like i'm there in time,
Doing what I wrote remembering the past,
Just like it was yesterday.
Your vision picks up on pages of lines,
And paragraphs that go on forever.
I watch as a movie unfolds right in front of me.
Pages turning are sounds of the projector clicking.
Your pauses and breaks,
My director cuts.
For your imagination,
Is not as advanced,
As this visual movie.
When I read your story,
I only see words.
