The Gift Of You
My heart exposed is an open book
What you gave to me is all it took
From chains I have now been freed
As you provide everything I need
Cynical of life was what I became
With you beside me nothing's the same
The wonder of love there for all to see
This transformation I accept so readily
You taught me much by holding my hand
It is with you that I came to understand
What joy life can be to one such as me
I know what I've gained will always be !
I now realize what I've always searched for
You've shown me there can be even more !
