Gig a bite

Gig a bite

Hong Kong Garden.
in 1980
promenade in Brighton

it was my birthday treat
off my little punky sister
who was 16..
the balcony vibrated
to a rolling beat.
nearly Forty years ago..
who would think
we get stuck in a Rut
with The Clash..
while Babylon's Burning..
at a funeral..
Crack a few beers
havin a laugh..
a million light years away
from that era of youth..
dressed as Siouxsie by night
Bank clerks by day..
such a contrast..
So in your face..
so wish I was there today
