It’s strange to hear

You’ve always felt alone

Because when we grew up

You were never on your own

You always had me

To stand by your side

To hold your hand one the nights that you cried

So long ago

Yet it seems so near

Things are much better now

I’m happy to hear

Look at you

So strong and so free

You morphed from that little girl

In to all I want to be

Happy and driven

With a family on the way
